Woodbridge Softball wins their first round matchup against a tough El Dorado team in 8 innings.

The Warrior girls started out in the 1st inning showing their defensive skills with right fielder Kate Lim throwing out the leadoff hitter at 2nd trying to stretch a leadoff hit into a double. Lim then showed off her arm throwing out a runner at home trying to score from 3rd on a deep fly to right.

2nd baseman Dana Demo showed her athleticism to end the 5th with a diving, tumbling grab of a groundball. She was able to throw the batter out at 1st while tumbling head first toward the 3rd base line.

Offensively Woodbridge had a total of 11 hits on the day. The scoring started with a leadoff home run by Kate Lim and ended with a line drive to left center by Lim to score Taylor Wojciechowski from 3rd with the winning run.

Freshman Taylor Caudill relieved in the  3rd inning and pitched 5 innings of 4 hit ball to keep us in the game.
